Mortar & Pestle

It takes alot of creative thinking to think of what a mortar and pestle can be, other than a mortar and pestle!
there were only three things that i could think of, and the three things were, a new sporting event involving the mortar and pestle, where the participant will need to throw the pestle a short distance and put it in the mortar, a fashion trend, where the person wheres the pestle as his/her sunglasses, and the mortar is worn as a hat on the head, and also a massage gadget where the person sits on the mortar and it massages the persons bottom, and also while sitting he/she can massage themselves eg. their necks or shoulders, with the pestle.
i hope one of these innovations will be successful in the future.

Novelty, Innovation, Creativity and Invention

NOVELTY
the quality of being new. Although it may be said to have an objective dimension.e.g. a new style of art coming into being, such as abstract art or impressionism it essentially exists in the subjective perceptions of individuals.

CREATIVITY
refers to the phenomenon whereby something new is created which has some kind of value. What counts as "new" may be in reference to the individual creator, or to the society or domain within which the novelty occurs. What counts as "valuable" is similarly defined in a variety of ways. The ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas.

Innovation
comes from the Latin innovātus which means to renew. Innovation can therefore be seen as the process that renews something that exists and not - as is commonly assumed - the introduction of something new.

Invention
a new composition, device, or process. An invention may be deriv from a pre-existing model or idea, or it could be independently conceived in which case it may be a radical breakthrough. In addition, there is cultural invention, which is an innovative set of useful social behaviors adopted by people and passed on to others. Inventions often extend the boundaries of human knowledge or experience. An invention that is novel and not obvious to others skilled in the same field may be able to obtain the legal protection of a patent.

Introduction to Creative Studies

I feel that this subject will be a new and exciting experience for me. It will teach me things that I might already know but in another way, a “creative” way. I expect this subject to be fun and entertaining, because it journeys through different ways you can study with a creative mind, and it also adds a bit of excitement to the everyday-boring-classes. Our first assignment for this subject was to make a blog, which was a big surprise for me, because I’ve never been given an assignment as relaxing as this.
